In the aftermath of the tumultuous 2016 Presidential elections in the United States, people form diverse backgrounds, began to adopt the wearing of a Safety Pin as a public display of their commitment to being an ally for those feeling unsafe. In an effort to also create an actual action form this documentation, we are using the images to raise funds for the ACLU. Each participant donates a minimum of $10 (and often more) and provides a blurb about their personal conviction behind the movement. As of 11.22.16 we've raised $1000 with approximately 50 participants.
We will be putting together local and traveling exhibitions pending interest in the coming months. For interest in setting up a charitable Safety Pin Portrait session in your area please reach out directly on the contact link on the home page.
